Hats
Specifically, I like the drivers cap/flat cap kind of hat. I have two myself, one is a light one for summer and the other is a heavier wool one with pull down earflaps for the winter. Black goes with almost every outfit and the summer version goes perfectly with my bowtie and suspenders ensemble for church.
With my Bald is Beautiful outlook on life, hats are a necessity for me.

Hell
Hell. It just makes me hurt to know that it has to exist. As a 7th Day Adventist, I don’t believe in the immortality of the soul, which means Hell lasts for you as long as you exist but that eventually you do cease to exist. If I did believe in the immortality of the soul, I’d be much more inclined to think that the Universal Reconciliationists were right just out of despair.
But right or wrong on the nature of hell, I don’t have to worry about it because I’ve believed in Jesus and He’s saved me from that.
And that is it for this week. Stay tuned for our next episode, which should be Interesting!

I like hats too, the soft flat caps and beanies anyway, keeps the sun out of my eyes on photography outings. 🙂

I have a nice hat that I use for work. It’s the one you can barely see in my “about me” pix 😀
They tend to last about 3-4 years tops before they get worn out.

That’s swish! I’ve got a tattered faded NY baseball cap I absolutely love.

Ohhh no, not the Yankees? Please tell me its not the Yankees…

I don’t think so, it just has a NY on the front so thought it stood for New York.

Does the “NY” look like this?
I’ve included a link:

Yes exactly! Except mine is really faded and tatty. I don’t know anything about baseball or yankees though have heard of the yankee stadium, so I am not classing my hat as anything to do with it. It”s just New York to me.

Yeah, you walked into a minefield without knowing it 😀
Here in this part of the country we’re die hard New Boston Red Sox fans. I mean, even me, who doesn’t care about sports, is sucked into it. And our biggest rival are the Yankees 😀
Why? I have no idea. I just know that there is rivalry on both sides and you don’t wear redsox gear in New York and you don’t wear yankees gear in Boston.

So glad I wore it all over America when I went and no-one punched me on the snout!

You joke, but it could have happened. But now you’re home safe, so wear it with pride 😀

I like hats too, but usually cant be bothered to actually wear them. Seeing as I rarely go for a haircut, my hair becomes tangled really easy. So unless its cold and I have to cycle its not worth the pain. Dave wears beanies whenever he can though.

I have to wear hats summer and winter. Summer to keep my dome from burning and winter to keep it from freezing 😀
No hair for me to worry about, hahahaha!

Hats are great! They keep the sun out of your eyes and the rain off your glasses, and they help with the flipside of “bald is beautiful” aka “frizzy is fabulous.”
“Hell” as an expletive seems to have lost a lot of its punching power.

I’ve never heard of “frizzy is fabulous”. I’ll have to add it to my vocab 😀
Yeah, with no one believing it any more, it’s really just a cultural hold over 😦

a cultural holdover….like….fedoras….? 😉

Both of those things I’d like to bring back into popular culture….

For some reason, your description of the winter hat makes me thing about the one worn by Jayne Cobb in Firefly: is yours as colorful as the original? 😉

Hahahaha. Well, remove the ear flaps and the pom-pom and that’s about it actually.
But no, mine is grey. I like the solid earth colors…

I think it’s interesting how the last non-advertisement comment on that article on “the cunning hat” was from 2017 and every comment from 2018 onward had an advertisement for leather jackets, haha
Maybe people were trying to buy the Firefly captain’s jacket after reading the article? 😅

The perfect combo – a hat to cover your eyes from the burning fires of hell! Hahahahahaha! Just kidding, Mr Stooge, I think you’re on the safe side of the wall. Some of your friends, however… *exhales*

Hahahahaha! That’s pretty good actually.
However, being scottish, not liking raisins and liking haggis are not grounds for going to hell. At least not in any Bible I’ve read. So while Dix might not be what we consider a “good” person, he won’t go to hell for not liking raisins 😉

I think I need to have a talk to God about perhaps revising some of His rules.

I like my hats and beanies too. Not bald yet, but just like to feel there is something on top of my head, makes me feel grounded some how.

That’s because hats are cool and only cool people, like you and me, like wearing them 😀
