      1. Image result for hungarian goulash
Hungarian Goulash is a thick meat and vegetable stew with a broth that’s heavily seasoned with paprika, while American Goulash is a quick dish made from ground beef, tomato sauce, herbs, and elbow macaroni noodles. It also goes by the name of American Chop Suey.

        1. I find paprika quite strong. Something heavily seasoned with paprika sounds awful. Aren’t you only ever supposed to use a pinch of paprika in anything? I thought pinch of paprika was a rule.

    1. I gave it 4stars instead of higher because the end of the book deals with him after he gets out of the Gulag. He was still so naive that he thought that would be the end of the gulags. So he’s shocked when he finds out they’re continuing. It was just so him believing in his country so hard that he ignored all evidence. It wasn’t very pretty, especially after seeing what he went through.
