This story doesn’t touch directly on it, but I’d say it’s a good bet. Imagine if you had to walk to your neighbors to get your packages that had your name and address. No good amazon delivery people. Even the US postal service was never as bad as them…

I looked up the cover and its catch phrase “love at first fight”. Does Conan get a girlfriend in this story? 😀

Like many of the Conan stories, he has a fling with a buxom woman and in this story, they amicably go their own ways (it’s either that or she dies in most of the stories).
This is the first time we’ve run across a warrior woman almost physically equal to him though.
