    1. Sadly, I was actually hoping to have something to say about this. This was written by the same guys who are writing the Galaxies Edge series.
But this series seems to be written directly for those in the service or vets. It is definitely not aimed at the wider Mil-SF crowd.
Too much “rangers going to keep on rangering” sentiment every other page. And we’re stuck in the narrators head and he thinks about a lot of blather instead of telling us a good story.

            1. To be fair they are both now trying to steal my thunder and usurp my position as lyricist to the unreviewed reviews. Of course, they can’t hold a candle to my beacon of ingenuity. Any old fart can throw a video up with a copy & paste youtube clip, but it takes skill and inspiration to find the right song and pick out the perfect section of lyrics to accompany the unreview. What, I ask you, has ‘When you say nothing at all’ got to do with a forgotten ruin?? NOTHING! 👸

              1. Fraggle, you are truly the Queen of the Comments. I never doubted you for a SECOND!
(not even if I ever said otherwise anywhere, at any time, honest 😉 )

Good thing I’m not musically gifted then, otherwise I’d have to start making judgement calls about the various lyrics, videos, etc. Now I can just sit back and enjoy the flow of comments 😀

    1. Yes, I am hoping the next book is less “rangers gonna outranger all the other rangers who are rangering their hardest”.
There was a great story here, but it was hidden under the relentless onslaught of the narrator wanting to praise the rangers every 3rd paragraph.
It was annoying, to say the least.

  1. The smile on your face lets me know you won’t build me
The truth in your eyes says you’d sooner imagine me
No need to wait eons for me to fall
A ruin is quickest forgotten when you build nothing at all.

    1. Oh my goodness folks, we have ANOTHER contender for “Match those Lyrics”!

So tell me Aonghus me laddie, do you think you have a real chance against the the reigning Queen Fraggle? She seems to have cemented her position and even up and comers like Dix and Alex are really struggling.
Have you been training for this moment your whole life or is this a spur of the moment thing?
Yer fans deserve to know after all….

      1. Think it was very much a team effort? Once everybody saw there wasn’t going to be a review, we knew had to do something to entertain the troops, etc, etc…..

        1. There is no “team” in “I”, remember that!
This blog is a brutal, no holds barred, anything goes (until I say it doesn’t) competition to see who can be the Ruler of the Comments section.

But your point about entertaining the masses rings true. You all have stepped up your game this month and I’m very proud of each and every one of you. You can be sure I’ll be smearing your good names through the mud at the end of the month when I do my monthly Roundup&Ramble, hahahahaa 😀

    2. Oh seriously! Pfft, altering lyrics! 🙄 Mr. Fallon (or Ms, Mrs, not sure what kind of first name that is, though it sounds a bit Scottish) can have a point for ‘trying’, but it’s pretty dismal and my position is unbreached. 👸

      1. Ahem –

        (a) Chap/Chapess??? Meaningless terms in today’s post-gender age!
        (b) Sounds a bit Scottish??? Hah! And you are? Fragleruken? (Or somesuch) What is that? Swiss? German?
        (c) I’m far too magnanimous to claim bragging rights (in fairness, I can afford to be).
        (d) ‘My position is unbreached’? ‘Ooh, you ARE naughty’ etc etc..

        1. And Mr Fallon doesn’t pull his punches!
Good job sir, quality ripostes there!

I must say, you are definitely a Mr Chappie unless you state otherwise. On this blog the lines are still drawn, not blurred.

But the gauntlet has been thrown. Are you brave enough to pick it up and run with it?

              1. Nope. Too lazy. I see bloggers as being like flowers (some a lot more aromatic than others, it must be admitted) with me as some big, beautiful butterfly.

  2. I am starting to miss your full reviews, but the comments section always entertain me as well as clue me in on the lack of review there was. Dont know if its intended but it works really well for me. Thank you for that.
