Totally woke bs. The only reason this didn’t get just a half star was because Scott Sigler wrote the final story and it was awesome and was a REAL Predator story. No pregnant predators bonding emotionally with human mothers and the universal bond of motherhood or some other such bologna.
Oh THERE you are! Thought you were off growing a moustache or something . . .
Yeah, the Alien critters never bonded with human mothers, of whatever gender. But don’t we share some DNA with the Preds? I thought that was part of the plot in one of the recent Predator movies. Either way, this sounds like a bad direction to go in.

Yeah, taking tuesdays off from posting. Help me to pace myself better 😀
I have not seen the Predator movie before Prey, so maybe it was in there? This was a pretty woke collection imo and I react pretty heavily against that kind of thing.

I think it was The Predator (2018) that had some subplot about coming to Earth to snag autism DNA because it turns out that being autistic is some kind of superpower, which is another bit of Hollywood stupidity.

The more I hear about the 2018 movie, the less I think I’ll watch it.

I lost track of the Preditor franchise, but managed Prey which was OK. Won’t be looking for this one.

But maybe it will be looking for YOU . . .

Doubtful but if he finds me he’ll get a cup of tea and a hobnob like everyone else. No preferential treatment for movie stars here!

Yeah, the movie franchise got really weird. And it didn’t help that they did those abominable Alien vs Predator movies too.
Prey was decent but not good enough to restore my faith that the franchise was going to return to good story telling again.

Agreed, I couldn’t be bothered if I never saw one again.

Why did Shakespeare write Two Predators if Venona? Is that in this book?

Unfortunately, none of these authors appear to have read any of the classics, so there was nary a nod to said venerable tale.

Between the Predator franchise and the Alien franchise (and the crossover movies as well) I thought every last drop of blood had been wrought from those stones – but it seems I was wrong…
(((SIGH)))

Oh, not even close. The comics are huge and I believe there are quite a few novels as well. Not that i’ll be checking out either of those two mediums though 🙂

Sorry the anthology didn’t deliver for you, but I’m happy you enjoyed my contribution.
