Now isn’t that just the weirdest pic yet. Not sure what I’m looking at. But then, I can imagine an artist being assigned “Blue Mana Battery” and thinking WTF? and then being told to just do the usual Blue Mana Battery thing.

It’s pretty salvadore dali, isn’t it? I have no idea what, if anything, it is actually supposed to show.

Well, Booky seems to be sleeping in this morning so I’ll be the one to give you props for a fine comment. And quick on the draw as well.

Dealing with a snowstorm and power outages.
We seem to be back on grid now though.

Oh, that is clever! You get a comment point for the day 🙂

When you play this as an iterupt, does that mean you use it in the time its the opponent’s turn? And can you follow an interrupt with an instant in this case?

Correct. Magic no longer uses interrupts, but calls most of them mana abilities now (which can be activated any time, period). But back in hte day, it was a thing. So you could play interrupts and instants any time. And you are correct in your last sentence.

Was there a limit to how many times you could use this ability, or was it put into graveyard when all counters were used up?

Nope, since it is an artifact, it stays on the board and you can recharge it if it runs out of counters.
So if you can deal with the long game, it will help out…

So the little square thingys are mana? I always thought mana came from heaven and was a tasy kind of bread.

In FantasyLand mana = magic power. The more of it you have the more, and more powerful, spells you can cast.

OK. Think I’d prefer tasty bread.

Are you one of these whole grain people?

I do try and have seedy bread but every now and again get a craving for bacon butties in white bread. Sigh.

I just can’t get into the gritty texture of whole grain. I do love a fresh Italian or French loaf.

Yes they’re the best!

I don’t know what those are honestly. I think they are what the artist was seeing as representing mana?
And what you describe is manna. I actually had to go check the spelling to make sure it wasn’t the same 🙂

I am now edumacated in the manner of mana and manna! 🙂

Are many manas menas?

I think the plural is still mana. I have 1 mana and then shazaam, I have 16 mana! One of those weird english language things.

Is that the symbol for mana in MTG? 😮
LikeLiked by 1 person
Thankfully, no.
Each color has a symbol all its own. If you look on the text of the card, you’ll see what looks like a blue water drop. That is the symbol for blue mana.

Oh, that’s an interesting card! Don’t think I’ve ever seen it before!

A lot of these 4th edition simply aren’t powerful enough any more for people to play them. But considering I’m only showing them off and not playing, it’s all good 🙂
