A new avatar?

Not sure yet. Looking into the possibility though.

Looks cool, but I wonder if all the details will be visible when it’s smaller? Mine has all these cool tentacles that are hardly visible…

Yeah, so much gets lost in the little gravatar version 😦

I like those, but gold bullion is better….

If it’s the possible new avatar, I would say that it looks far less forbidding than your current one… 😉

I’m exploring options. Hence the “alpha”. I don’t foresee anything changing soon though…

It’s a bit mystical, so would be OK on magic card days or for reviews of magic/mystical books.

It definitely looks like it belongs on a magic card, doesn’t it?

First thing I thought of.

Why do you keep changing your avatar?

I think this is my way of having a midlife crisis without doing something stupid 🙂

Ah, ok. Can’t help you there.
New one looks fine, btw; agree with the details not going to show up in the avatar-sized avatar.

I should probably fool around w smaller versions to see what it looks like. Don’t want to mess w my current account, so maybe I’ll create a test account or something.

Yeahhh…or import it into Paint/Powerooint and experiment with shrinking it down.
That might also work.

Would have to be paint. I have zero pp knowledge.
Would be easier than creating a whole new id

Powerpoint mentioned because it’s got a decent set of image-formatting tools for someone who needs to format an image but not _that_ badly. If you’ve cropped/moved/adjusted an image in Word, it’s the same as ppt.

Thanks.
This was the concept I liked best, so we’ll see what refinements get made in the coming months

I like it. Your stoogetars always make me think you mightve enjoyed Diablo 2🙂

I probably would have back in the day. But those days are behind me now. I don’t even play solitaire on my computer, hahaha

Thanks Tina. We’ll see what refinements get made over the coming weeks or months.

Nice! Agree on the details not showing on a smaller version, but maybe there is a way to simplify it without losing the vibe 🙂

I think I just have to accept that the gravatar size version of any avatar will lose lots of detail. But that is why I end all my reviews with picture of my current avatar 🙂

I think it’s excellent! Clean, bright, yet still communicating the essence of your Bookstooge-ishness.

Do you think the clean background is too bright? That was the first thing I noticed when I looked at it online after scanning it.
LikeLiked by 1 person
I don’t think so, but I like clean and bright, even for art that’s supposed to convey a bit of ominousness. I think it’s balanced, but it’s a reflection of you, so it has to feel balanced to you.

This looks great. Like most people, the details would probably get lost in the shrinking. What made you want to go for a browner robe rather than a black one? 😀

That was the artists choice. My guess would be to differentiate from the head.
We’ll see what future versions hold I guess.

I like its overall design, but it needs stronger, clearer lines. This feels like a sketch, not a finished product.
LikeLiked by 1 person
I don’t know what that means. You mind trying to explain to me?
And yep, it’s a concept drawing 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
I like the drawing, but I would go for lines that are thicker. Does that make more sense?

That I can understand 😀
