Doom the boardgame, but that’s about it…

So you just basically swipe the other player’s card and give them this one? What sort of operating system is preloaded on this tablet?

It was something called “ante”. Basically, you bet a card from your deck that you’d win, and your opponent would do likewise. I think all ante related cards were phased out in Fifth Edition so as to not run afoul of any gambling laws, especially since this was being aimed at teens too.

Yeah that “ante” reference went over my head. Glad to hear they cleaned it up so that kids aren’t led astray.

It wasn’t actually a problem until certain cards started being worth a lot more. The collectible side of things really hurt the game as far as I’m concerned.

I usually see my ante at Christmas.

I recently saw that there’s a Lord of the Rings crossover with official MTG cards coming out. Have you seen or heard of this? They look cool. 😮

Yes, the next “Universes Beyond” release. I admit I am tempted. But it’s wicked expensive and if I wanted a complete set, it would be setting me back several hundred dollars. And I wouldn’t even play them. And I’m not THAT big a fan of LotR 😀

They also did a Warhammer one with 4 commander decks. I’ll be starting to showcase some of the cards from the three decks ive managed to get soon.

That’s great!
I’m hoping to get the 4 decks myself by the end of the month…

Once I get them and sleeve them up, we can start working out how we want to play a game long term.
