Chapter 32: Emissary From the East
Chapter 33: Showdown in Rush Valley
Bonus Chapter: Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel
“The Raid on the Devil’s Nest becomes a slaughter, as government troops led by the Führer President himself, King Bradley-exterminate the half-human forces of the Homunculus Greed. But will Ed and Al survive the battle unchanged? As Greed is sent to meet his maker, foreign travelers arrive in Amestris, having crossed the great desert from the eastern country of Xing. Their names are Mei and Ling, and they’ve come for the Philosopher’s Stone …and a secret even the Elric Brothers never imagined…”
We do meet the creator of the homunculi and he destroys one who has rebelled. We find out for sure that King Bradley is indeed a homunculi, but one that can age and apparently have children.
Other than that, this was just a complete slog. I mean, I was bored almost to tears and couldn’t wait for it to end. That is NOT the feeling I want when reading an action manga. Well, whatever. I just don’t care at the moment.

Lots of burnout around here. Cheer yourself up with my fox pictures!

I am realizing that while I like the overall story, I really don’t care for how the manga-ka tells it. I can see why the anime went the direction it did. It stuck to the action and didn’t get lost in all the stupid little side stories that the manga-ka seems to like to investigate.
Which blog? gotta link?

Going to have to go with a no comment comment as it’s all a bit confusing.

no worries. That’s the problem with
A) reviewing a long running series
B) reviewing a manga, which is a medium different from my usual plain words books
With all of the different things I’m blogging about, I’m beginning to understand why people start different blogs, to focus on different things.

You could start a blog about wildlife sightings. You must see lots of interesting critters in the field.

Not really. We make enough noise that it scares everything way. Just he way I like it…

Exactly. machetes aren’t going to do squat against one of those things. Heck, even my 9mm pistol wouldn’t bother it. It’d ignore the wounds and just bite my head off…

It’s all good though.

It is. I’m the Full Package when it comes to blogging 😀
You got yourself some literature, some art, some nice light “slice of life” posts, some random humor, all rolled into one gorgeous blog. Just like nature intended, hehehehe 🙂

Ahhh, hopefully, you’ll find it more stimulating in the subsequent volumes then.

I really hope so. It’s kind of depressing me….

So the manga has a different exclamation of how the homunculi are created.

Maybe? I don’t remember how their creation was explained in the anime at all.

It when someone tries to bring back the dead. It why there were different creators instead of one.

Right!
It’s tough to tell, but here it looks like it was just the one creator. But with so many volumes still to go, further revelation could certainly change to show that.
