I enjoyed this, and was horrified at the same time.

Some of the things that happen just gave me the willies and made me think “I’d NEVER let my pre-teen read this stuff”.

And I’m still no closer to figuring out what is going on.

The not knowing, the non-omniscience of the narrator, it all worked together to keep me interested.

I kept wanting to KNOW what was happening, what had happened and what was going to happen.
