Sucky to the sucky’th degree. I barely made it through this nauseatingly predictable and boring book. The attempts at characterization were so badly executed that it would have been better if Perry had left it alone. Maybe a HARDCORE fan of the Resident Evil games would enjoy this, but I can’t imagine anyone else who would.

What an absolute piece of trash. Monsters were almost non-existant. Characterization was tried by the author, and it was an epic fail.

I simply wanted a good Resident Evil story about big bad monsters and people killing them. I didn’t get that. In fact, I don’t feel like I got anything at all from this story. Maybe a robot wrote it?

this is actually book 0. Shows how the T-virus got loose and the one character from the Bravo group in book 1 has her adventures here. Not actually very exciting.

It was ok. Nothing spectacular. My one main beef was if Rebecca goes through all this in book zero, why is she such a zombie newb in The Umbrella Conspiracy [book 1?]. Just not good continuity.

having never played RE, having only seen the movies, this was all new to me. You could tell it was from a game, but I still enjoyed it anyway. Shallow characters, basic puzzle plot with some some-what scary monsters thrown in made for a half-decent read. Definitely going to be reading more in the series.
